Got the 2025 K2 Excavator 158 a couple of weeks into the 2024/25 season and it instantly became their go-to, with about 65 of 80+ days on it: absolutely killer in powder and not the least bit lacking on groomers.

Hit rocks on the first run of their first day on a brand-new 2025 K2 Excavator (Peter Sutherland edition), damaging the edge, but says they like the board for carving groomers too.
Owns the 2025 K2 Excavator, bought to be great in powder and nimble in trees, and says it is perfect for that and also great at carving groomers. As a volume-shifted board it isn't for everyone, but they like it, and it twists more easily than an average board.
