An intermediate bought a Frontier 2.0 155W and took it to Austria: fine the first day, but on icy slopes it slipped a lot on both edges, even standing across the hill, so they cruised instead of speeding. They returned it for a Jones Stratos.

Got the Frontier 2.0 this season as a warranty replacement for their 2024 Frontier: it feels significantly softer, which makes butters and pop easier, but it is less stable and damp carving steeps or bombing, and harder to hold an edge at 20-30 mph. Still nimble anywhere on the mountain.
A second-year intermediate (178 cm, 73 kg on a 159) picked up the Frontier 2.0 in November 2025: great for soft carving though not for hard carving, medium flex, holds super well on ice, and the nose rocker keeps it forgiving. The big setback makes switch hard.
Bought the 2026 Jones Frontier 2.0 as a beginner in Australia and had a blast at Thredbo, progressing from the beginner area to blue runs in one trip. They found it super fun and good for beginner to intermediate riders, and after five days were quite comfortable with no regrets.
